It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irmalee Jane Leighton of Westfield, Pennsylvania, born in Sabinsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 22, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles O. Terwilliger and Madelyn B. Snay Terwilliger; her former husband Kenneth H. Wheaton; her husband Edward J. Leighton; her granddaughter Jennifer Renee Mead; and her brother Charles H. Terwilliger.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Mead, Jr. (Jesse) of Knoxville and Peggy Short (Scot) of Sabinsville; her nieces, Marcia Wheeler (Joel) of Harrison Valley, Mary Ransom (Kenneth) of Sabinsville, Laura Youse (David) of Westfield and Kathleen Stratton of Leesburg, FL; and her caregiver Francis Graves. She is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
