He was predeceased by: his spouse Sandy Pracel; and his brother Scott Pracel. He is survived by: his sons, Hugh Pracel, Joseph Pracel, III (Kathy) and Mark Pracel; his grandchildren, Joshua, Joey IV and Katelyn Pracel; and his siblings, Richard Pracel (Sherry), Wayne Pracel (Judith) and Rita Meghan (Bob). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was also an advocate for blood donations and drives. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to Elks Allegheny, PA No. 339: PO Box 6904, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 or go donate blood at your local blood bank.
