He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Lloyd and Rose Julia Straight (Moskala); his siblings, John Straight, Chris Snyder, Linda, Toole and Thomas Michael Straight; and his granddaughter Marissa Ann Straight.

He is survived by: his sons, John C. and Michael W. Straight; his grandchildren, Skylar Straight, Dylan Straight, Dean Straight and Colton Straight; his brother Ken Straight (Marge); his pet Zeek; and his friend Jeep. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces & nephews.
