He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Monroe (Bittner); and his children, James Monroe, Kristie Mellott, Royal Mellott, Lisa Scholze (Gregg) and Kathy Kircher (Bryan). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
