As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Phyllis M. Hunkele (Hartman) and John W. Hunkele. He is survived by : his brother Phillip J. Hunkele; and his pet Cocoa.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation (388 Center Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15229). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at 1515 Quaill Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15202.
