He was predeceased by: his sibling Norman F. Stein; and his grandchild Scott Stein. He is survived by: his spouse Mary A. Stein (Galvin); his children, Raymond D. Stein (Renee), Daryl Lynn Pollock (Matt), Mark A. Stein (Tina) and Darrell E. Stein, Jr. (Ann Marie); his grandchildren, Jason T. Stein (Brittany), Nicholas A. Stein, Brett Pollock, Ashley Stein, Hannah Stein, Will Stein and Ryan Pollock; and his great grandchildren, Haley Stein and Sydney Stein.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to West Virginia Wesleyan College in remembrance of Scott Stein, or Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in remembrance of Ryan Pollock.
