He is survived by: his wife Carol Black Helmbrecht; his sons, John Robert Helmbrecht (Linda) and Daniel James Helmbrecht; his granddaughters, Nicole Vasko (Ethan), Megan Bailey (Shavar) and Rachel Helmbrecht; and his great grandchildren, Mia Grillo, Noah, Aliyah and Selah Bailey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
