He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman L. Barto, Sr. and Ethel M. Barto (Buchanan); and his brothers, David P. (Marlene) and Richard Barto. He is survived by: his wife Gloria J. Barto (Wood); his children, Sherri Mathews (David) of Oley and Christopher Barto (Melissa) of Shillington; his grandson Steven Mathews (Erin); his children, Nicholas Mathews (Jennifer Marcello), Jessica Plageman (Jason), Joshua Barto, Gabrielle Barto and Madeline Barto; his great grandchildren, Cole, Miles, Elsie Mathews, Addison and Riley Plageman; his siblings, Gary Barto, Jean and Stella Craig (Roger); and his sister-in-law Renee Barto.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. (739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Charles Evans Cemetery (1119 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601).
