He is survived by: his wife Marie Plasha (Hauptly); his children, Elizabeth Sassano (Michael), Katherine Gleason (Brian) and John Plasha; his grandchildren, Michael Sassano (Brittany Cole), Anthony Sassano, Christopher Gleason, Sean Gleason, Paul Gleason, Shannon Plasha and Patrick Plasha; his great grandchild Luca Sassano; and his sister Marlene Dana.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. (739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Salle Roman Catholic Church (42 Kerrick Rd, Shillington, PA 19607). A burial was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Greek Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John Baptist de la Salle RCC, Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
