He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Gilbert and Leah Gilbert (Murray); and his siblings, Mary Lou Schaeffer, Jeannette A. Wright, Chester Gilbert and William Gilbert.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly H. Gilbert (Yoder); his children, Darrell J. Gilbert (Sherri A. Gilbert) and Meg Gilbert Elias (Chester Elias); his siblings, Emma Gilbert and Russell M. Gilbert; and his granddaughter Sydney Leah Elias. He is also survived by his wife, children, granddaughter.
