He was predeceased by: his former wife Cynthia L. Keeney (Heist); and his parents, Leroy Keeney and Ruth Keeney (Angstadt). He is survived by: his fiancée Frances Blankenship; his daughter Lauren Keeney (Joseph) of Wyomissing; his siblings, Michael L. Keeney (Patty Ann) of Fleetwood, Sean Keeney (Tracey) of Stoutdsburg, Kristi Duffett (Chris) of San Antonio, TX and Autumn MacLean (Sean) of Sinking Spring; and his grandson Max Bonanno.
