He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. and Mary E. Seidel (Bishop); and his brother George H. Seidel, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carole W. Seidel (Fulmer); his children, Blake R. (Christine), Shelley L. (Robert Pennypacker) and Mindy K. (Randy Conrad); his stepchildren, Timothy J. (Kathi Weaver) and Linda M. (Duane Clifford); his siblings, Joan E. Brassacchio and Robert W. Seidel; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Cook, Jeremy Diehl, Emily Hess (Weaver), Daniel Pennypacker, Jordan Corino (Pennypacker), Taylor Threlfall (Conrad), Justin Clifford and Janelle Schwartz (Clifford). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
