She was predeceased by: her parents, Dionsio Virella and Victoria Virella (Gonzalez); and her stepdaughter Carmen Colon. She is survived by: her close friend Felipe Colon; and her children, Wanda I. Seda, Josefina Ortiz, Mirna Ortiz, Elizabeth Ortiz, Maria Alborran, Cecelio Ortiz (Susan) and Edwin Ortiz. She is also survived by her six step-sons, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
