He was predeceased by: his parents, Doroteo R. Lipawen and Consuelo G. Lipawen (Castro). He is survived by: his spouse Guia Sison Lipawen; his friend Ballroom Dance; his sons, Mark Michael (Bridget) of Panama City, FL and Patrick Joseph of Clifton Heights, PA.; his sister Bella C. (late Guillermo Valeña) of Columbia, SC; and his nieces, Michelle V. (John Brady) of Newport News, VA and Myra V. (Scott Padgett) of Boston, MA. He is also survived by four grandnephews, two grandnieces and two step-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the McGlinn Cancer Institute at Reading Hospital/Tower Health and St. Ignatius Loyola Church.
