He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Philipp and Mathilda Philipp (Sinkovec); and his son Robert "Bubbs" Philipp, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Juliann Pushnack (Chad); his grandchildren, Mike Sedunov (Kylie), Craig Sedunov, Hope Gwaley (Jon) and Robert Philipp (Bianca); his great grandchild Finley Jon Gwaley; and his siblings, Linda Stubbs (Jerry) and Raymond Philipp (Beverly). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
