It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Gabonay of West Newton, Pennsylvania, born in Wendel, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gabonay and Margaret Gabonay (Bizich); his siblings, Grace "Boots" Sabljak and Joseph "Buzzy" Gabonay; and his nephew David Gabonay.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite "Rita" Gabonay (Palmieri); his children, Robert Gabonay, Jr., Richard Gabonay (Janet) and Renee Zemany; his grandchildren, Eric, Reno, Jacob, Abigail Gabonay, Michael and Nathan Zemany; his brother James Gabonay (Barbara); and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Sabljak and Donna Gabonay. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
