It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paul Backstrom of West Newton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Backstrom and Magdalena Backstrom (Hofmann); and his siblings, Willard, Leonard, Donald Backstrom and Daryle Aspray.

He is survived by: his wife Emily Backstrom (Steadman); his daughters, Paula Ustazewski (Alexander) of Irwin and Lana Baker (Raymond) of West Newton; his grandchildren, Paul Baker (Danielle), Dr. Heather Momyer (Anthony Costa), Stephanie Phillips (Robert), Rachelle Scott (Jason) and Karri Momyer (David Warner); his great grandchildren, Emily Everly (Nathan), Raymond Baker, Jasiah Jones, Anna Scott, Magdalena Jones, Alana Jones, Tyler Scott, Victoria Scott and Sarah Warner; and his siblings, Vae Krawczyk of Parma, OH and Thomas Backstrom (Elaine) of Rostraver. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, private Funeral Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
