She was predeceased by: her parents, John Spisak of Sutersville, PA and Florence Spisak of Sutersville, PA; her brother Jack Spisak of Sutersville, PA; and also Buffie. She is survived by: her siblings, Yvonne Eckroate (Ed), Florence Laubham (Rocky) and William Spisak (Joann); her friend Delores Wengrzyn; and her nieces and nephews, David Spisak, Craig Spisak, Steven Spisak, MariAnn Wajnberg, Gretchen Shaw, Christopher Eckroate, Bob Laubham, Mike Laubham, Paul Laubham and Tom Laubham.
In lieu of flowers, Mir requested donations be sent to the American Cancer Society in her name.
