He was predeceased by: his parents, James Higgins and Sara Higgins (Lee); and his siblings, Eugene Higgins (Eleanor), Junior Higgins (Elizabeth), John Higgins (Patricia), Florence VanHorn and Betty Ames (Donald).
He is survived by: his wife Doris Aleen Trout; his daughters, Sharon Kolar of West Newton, Linda Sherman (James) of West Newton, Sandra Pleva (Frank) of West Newton and Tamara Kalkbrenner (Floyd) of South Park; and his siblings, Dean Higgins (Carole) of Madison, George Higgins (Marie) of South Houston, Texas and Roberta Gibson (Donald) of Sandy Lake. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
