He was predeceased by: his parent Vietta White; his former wife Kathryn Marie White; and his siblings, Rose Reese, Dorothy Reid, Georgia White, Elizabeth Reid Lining, Phillip, Jesse, Earl White of Pittsburgh and Alter White Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Betty Dunson; his children, Michelle Lanata White and Jeron Jay White; his brother Ernest White; his sister-in-law Marian Palmer Reese; and his stepdaughters, Karen Stanton and Debra Hocket. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
