He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Phillips and Anna Margaret "Peg" Phillips (Walick); and his brother-in-law Earle V. Wittpenn. He is survived by: his wife Janet J. Phillips (Sabo); his sons, Rev. Mark F. Phillips of Dearborn, MI and Matthew R. Phillips (Rebecca Cibulka) of Munhall; his sister Michele Wittpenn (Howard Philips); his nephew Devon M. Wittpenn (Susan Kallay) of Munhall; and his great-niece Stephanie J. Wittpenn of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by extended family, cousins and friends.
