He was predeceased by: his brother Rocco Kempa. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his stepson Jason Lippert (Dawn); his granddaughters, Cassidy Rose and Allison Paige Lippert; his brother Nick Kempa (Val); his nephews, Anthony (Rebecca), Richard (Mileva), Rocco "Rocky" and Evan Kempa; his great-niece Avery; and his great-nephews, AJ and Richie.
