He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rubino and Camilla Jordan Varholla; and his stepfather George Varholla. He is survived by: his daughter Vicky Golden (Gary Hartman); his granddaughter Paula Jane Fitz; his sister Isabel Brodak (John); his caregiver Jan Wirtz; and his nieces, Lisa, Kelly and Susan Brodak. He is also survived by his 4 great-grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
