He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gypsy Gent and Grady Gent; his siblings, Claude, Eugene, Georgia, Evelyn and Bonnie; his son Clyde K. Gent Jr. (Michelle Gent); his stepsons, Ron Eichelberger and John Eichelberger; his grandchildren, Megan, Tyler and Jacob; and his sister Barbara Caldwell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Clyde's name to the Kennett Square Missionary Baptist Church.
