Alan Graham Bates Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 7, 2024, at the age of 95, Alan Graham Bates of West Grove, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Bates and Edward Bates; his children, Stephanie Lynn and Douglas Graham; his wife Rella Pauline Murr; and his stepchildren, Cambia and Cody.
His generous nature led him to eventually donate his entire collection to the National Music Museum at the University of South Dakota, where it still exists today as the "Alan Bates Collection".
