He was predeceased by: his parents, George B. Hines and Catherine Hines (Gephart); his son Richard Dwight Hines; the mother of his children Kathryn "Kay" Hines Rubino; his siblings, Jean MacDonald, Carole Biddle, Jack Hines and George B. Hines, Jr.; and his son-in-law Ronald Luci.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy L. Luci of Monessen, Beth Hines-Williams of Monessen, Barbara Westfall (Clarence) of Lawrenceville, GA and William E. Hines, Jr. of Monessen; his grandchildren, Amy Williams, Jarrod Lape (Jodi), Jason Luci, Matthew Hines, Andrew, Erin Hines, Dillon Williams and Dominique Marcus; and his great grandchildren, Alexis Lape, Ashley, Annikah Williams, Ryann, Reese Lape and Violet Foster. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
