It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Murgas of West Decatur, Pennsylvania, born in Clarence, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 12, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Murgas and Anna Murgas (Smolko); his close friend Joan E. Greenawalt; his stepdaughter Patricia Albert; and his siblings, Andre, Michael, Matthew Murgas, Mary Granite, Anna Soltis, Margaret Danko and Agnes Soloman.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph D. Murgas of State College and Michele Todd of Harrisburg; his stepchildren, Barbara Wisor of West Decatur, Robin Graham (Roger Kuhn) of Clearfield, Robert Greenawalt (Karen) of Philipsburg and Troy Greenawalt (Tammy) of Philipsburg; and his siblings, George Murgas of State College, Helen Chambers of Clarence and Dorothy Koleno of Clarence. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Following CDC recommendations, social distancing is encouraged, and face coverings will be required at all services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
