Thomas F. Keane Jr. Obituary
Thomas F. Keane, Jr. (Tom), age 81, passed away with his family by his side on October 7, 2017. Tom was the beloved husband of Lisa Linda (Lupinacci) Keane of 64 years. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 1, 1935 to Mary (Walsh) and Thomas F. Keane, Sr. Tom was the loving father of Tina Krinsky (Julian), the late Thomas F. Keane, III (Ann) and Lisa Keane-Burgstahler (Joe).
He was the cherished grandfather of Kristen, Katelyn and Natalie Keane. He is survived by his siblings, Sister Michael Immaculate, SSJ, and John M. Keane. Tom was a graduate of West Catholic High School. He was the owner of School Lane House of Flowers until 1989 and Cut Flower Exchange until 2014. He was active as a Board Member and Past President of the Pennsylvania Florist Association as well as FTD Chapter 3B.
Tom was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Sons of Italy, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Saint Philip Neri Church. Tom loved to share his talent and knowledge of the floral industry with others. He taught floral design and shop management classes at Walter Biddle Saul High School and instructed floral designers through the trade organizations he was involved with for many years.
He loved to entertain others by singing for them. Tom could always be found in his garden and was especially proud to share the tomatoes he grew with his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Tom's Life Celebration at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444 on Wednesday, October 11 th from 9:30-11:45 am.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
