He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Kistler and Theresa M. Tuite Kistler; and his brothers, Gregory Kistler and James Kistler. He is survived by: his wife Sara Lamb Kistler; and his brothers, John (Karen), Joseph and Kevin Kistler (Kim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
