He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Earl Sykes and Verline Sykes of West Chester, PA.; his daughter Anne Burkhardt; and his former wife Elizabeth M. Sykes. He is survived by: his wife Karen D. Sykes; his sons, Wayne David Sykes and Brian Sykes; his son-in-law Eric Burkhardt; his grandsons, Christopher Sykes and Kevin Sykes; and his brother Hollister Sykes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
