He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl W. Forte and Mabel R. Armwood Forte; and his siblings, John Earl, Wesley of Forte's Barbershop, Hervin Forte, Louetta Best, Athene Forte, Vermel Coley, Roberta Forte, Esther Forte, Armenthia Forte, Allene Artis and Carolyn Trowery.

He is survived by: his nephew Demetrius (Mickey); his children, Lemuel Sims (Gloria) of Coatesville, Deandrea Posey of Pittsburgh, André Forte of West Chester, Donya Bean of Kennett Square, Lynwood Loper of Orlando, Dwayne Loper (Terry) of West Chester and Alisa Anderson (Kevin) of West Chester; and his friend Debbie Anderson. He is also survived by his 26 grand children, 28 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren, his many nieces, nephews, cousins.
