He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gaffney and Bertha Gaffney (Kissling); and his sister Alicia Riches (Chet). He is survived by: his wife Joan M. Gaffney (Wajda); his sons, John J "Jack" Gaffney (Mary) and Kevin P Gaffney (Jenelle); his grandchildren, Megan, Brynna, Jackson, Madison, Colin and Natalie; his siblings, Kathleen Neary, Thomas Gaffney (Nina) and Teresa Curley (Richard "Tim"); and his brother-in-law Henry "Hank" Wajda (Donna). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
