He was predeceased by: his parents, John J., Sr. and Laura Dziewit; and his sister Diane Harper. He is survived by: his wife Merry P. Dziewit; his son Drew Dziewit, MD (Jenifer); his grandchildren, Stella, Spencer and Scarlett; and his brother Michael Dziewit (Linda). He is also survived by his niece, his nephew, and cousins.

“I'm very sorry for your loss. Tomorrow is his birthday, and in recent years I sent emails on May 1 to say hello. Often, they went unanswered. I was his locker partner in High School at Roman, and sat behind him in Homeroom and most of our classes together. We actually went to the Prom together in a yellow Camaro. I respected him greatly.
