He was predeceased by: his siblings, James, Bill, John Stafford and Meryl Spence. He is survived by: his wife Marion Martha Downey Stafford; his children, Lester Stafford (Kim) of Glenmoore, PA, Deirdre Smith (Tim) of Newark, DE and Sheila McThenia (Tom) of Rochester, MN; his grandchildren, Bryan Stafford (Mallorie), Tara Stafford, Kyle (Desiree), Daniel, Megan Smith, Tommy, Sam, Andrew and Noah McThenia; his great grandchildren, Layla Stafford and Emery Stafford; his siblings, Sam Stafford (Ruthie), Fallis Stafford, Dorinda Shepherd and Gertrude Hahn; his brother-in-law Eric Downey; and also, John, Bill and Sam Stafford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George's memory to the American Cancer Society.
