He is survived by: his daughters, Dr. Lucille J. Russell (Clive Hammant) and Jeanne Russell (Thomas Hyun); his brother Verle Russell (Avery) of Decatur Illinois; his grandchildren, Dr. Jade E. Davis (Justin Mullins), Kristal Harrison and Luke Staisiunas; and his great grandchildren, Tristan Mullins and Donovan Mullins.
He worked for several civic organizations, including 5th Ward politics, The American Heart Association, The Lincoln Dental Society, The Original 40 Club, and The Lambs.
