He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Madine and Caroline Pritchard Madine. He is survived by: his wife Lona Vilsack Madine; his children, James J. Madine, Jr., Stacey Severin (Griffith) and Michelle Hatfield (Earl); his grandchildren, Earl Jr., Connor, Grace, McKenna, Sarah, Hunter and Kylee; his aunt Helen Cavanaugh; and his pet Lucy.
