He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Meck and Edith Meck (Gracely); and his siblings, Wayne, Anna Heffner and Edna Glodzig.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce L. Meck (Landis); his sons, David (Beverly) and Keith (Jan); his brothers, Carl (Patricia) and Kermit (Irene); his grandchildren, Michael (Sara), Kathy, Douglas (Tana) and Jennifer (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Benjamin, Kara, Ian, Ryan and Brynn.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Ernest's memory may be made to the church.
