He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude O. Gaul and Mary E. Gaul (Kerper); and his sister Marie Gilbert. He is survived by: his brother Allen E. Gaul; his nephews, Kenneth Gilbert and James Gilbert; and his niece Ellen Gilbert of Boonsboro, MD..
