He was predeceased by: his parents, John Boyce and Martha Boyce (Mays); his wife Doris E. Boyce (Kelly); his sons, James L. and Mike Boyce; his grandson English; his grandson-in-law Kevin L. Smith; and his son-in-law Tom Hager.

He is survived by: his children, Sheila Hager, Scot Boyce (Pam) and Pam English (Mike); and his grandchildren, Tina, Richard, Scot Jr., Brad and Chad. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
