He is survived by: his sibling Ginseng; his children, Lane Blackwell, Jr. (Karen), Dean Blackwell (Tammy), Darlene Brown and Jody Rogers (Dan); and his brothers, Donald Blackwell, Sr. (Martha) and Burdette Blackwell (Wilma). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
