With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edgar R. Shelmire (Wellsboro, Pennsylvania), who passed away on November 16, 2020 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edgar R. Shelmire to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar V. Shelmire and Catherine Shelmire (Herzberg); his sister Bessie; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Kriner and James Doane.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Linda) of Trout Run, Raymond (Denise) of Stony Fork and Jeremy (Becky) of Beech Creek; his grandchildren, Laura (Rob), Ryan (Jesica), Trisha (Bruce), Colby (Emily), Oliver and Meadow; his great grandchildren, Makenna and Chase; and his siblings, Catherine Doane of Wellsboro, Susan Pierce (Terry) of Georgia, James (Gloria) of Wellsboro, John (Jody) of Wellsboro and Jeff of Wellsboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family is planning a Shelmire picnic (which he also always enjoyed) next summer (after Covid) at the Farm to celebrate his life and they would like to thank Hospice Care for their assistance over the past several days.
