He was predeceased by: his father Robert H. Roby; his son David H. Roby; and his sister Sandra Roby. He is survived by: his mother Vivian K. Roby (Krause) of Wellsboro, PA; his wife Debra S. Brelsford-Roby (Merrbaugh) of Wellsboro, PA; his daughter Madison Dean of Wellsboro, PA; his stepchildren, Charles McNeal of Chambersburg, PA, Shannon Shields of Chambersburg, PA and Patricia McNeal of Chambersburg, PA; and his sister Sue Champaign of Wellsboro, PA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
