With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claire Vargas (Wellsboro, Pennsylvania), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on March 7, 2018 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent John Devitt. She is survived by: her parent Mary Devitt (Moran); her husband August "Gus" Vargas of Wellsboro; her sister Maureen Saranchuk (Walter) of New Jersey; and her sister-in-law Hortense Mullan (Richard) of Long Island.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Peter's Catholic Church, 47 Central Ave., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
