He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer L. Scranton and Nina Scranton (Balfour); his daughter Diane Bookmiller; and his siblings, Nida Henkiel, Morgan Scranton, Ben Scranton and Jess Bowen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda K. Gamble (Tom) of Wellsboro and Carol Scranton of Wellsboro; his grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Gamble-Colosimo (Kevin) of Buffalo, NY, Michael Gamble (Rebecca) of Phoenix, AZ and Emily Kreider (Josh) of Wellsboro; and his great grandchildren, Maxwell Colosimo, Cole Colosimo, Evelyn Kreider and Maggie Kreider.
His family requests memorial contributions be made out to Tioga County Child Evangelism or Christ Church 12880 US 6 Wellsboro, PA, 16901.
