It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Martienessen (Weatherly, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Frank" Graaf and Irene Graaf (Knepper); her husband Charles W. Martienssen; and her siblings, Rosanne Coxe, Helen Youthers, Christine Zamesky, Laura A. Richie, Robert, Wallace, Gerald and Raymond Graaf.
She is survived by: her children, Irene M. Hughes (Terence) of Birdsboro and Charles Martienssen (Carolyn) of West Hazleton; her brothers, Marvin Graaf (Sharleen) of West Hazleton and John Graaf of Stockton; her grandchildren, Samantha Jean Gibbs (Tyler) and Terence Francis Hughes IV; her great grandchild Landon John Hughes; and her niece Phyllis.
