She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Clarence and Frankie Rae Wilson, Sr. (Knight); her husband Robert L. Patterson, Sr.; her children, Robert L. Patterson, Jr. (Sharon) of Waynesburg, Bruce Edward Patterson (Debra Ann) of Waynesburg, Ronald C. Patterson of Nemacolin, Donna L. Hurd (Joseph) of Mather, Janet S. "Tillie" Patterson (Jackie) of Nemacolin and Deborah F. Patterson-Armel (Barry) of Pine Bank; her grandchildren, Kenneth Patterson, Melissa Patterson, Ryan Patterson, Lindsay Patterson (Nathan Tuttle), Derek Hurd, Tyler Hurd, Marcus Armel and Raegan Armel; her great grandchildren, Emily, Landon, Kaitlyn, Isabella and Dawson; her sister Dolly Newkirk of Waynesburg; her son Richard Allen Patterson; and her siblings, Joseph Clarence Wilson, Jr., Mervin Wilson, Thelma Areford, Nellie Tharp and Faye Scott. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
