He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Brake, Sr. and Margaret E. Sheffler (Patterson); his former wife Edith Mae Brake (Smith); his wife Shirley Ann Brake (Lewis); his stepson Scott A. Cook; and his sister Frances Oberry.
He is survived by: his sons, Geary L. Brake (Karen) of Toledo, OH, Allen E. Brake of Waynesboro, Larry E. Brake of Robertsdale, PA and Ricky L. Brake (Angie) of Waynesboro, PA; and his stepchildren, David E. Cook (Dena) of Waynesboro, William A. Cook (Kim) of Hagerstown, MD, Tina L. Sellers (David) of Tavares, FL and Sherry L. Witmer (Kevin) of Mont Alto. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
