He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Gillard Sr. and Kathryn E. Gillard (McCann); and his brother Peter F. Gillard. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia L. Gillard (Weigand); his children, Kathleen Bivona (Douglas) of Trumbull, Maureen Gillard (Geoffrey) of Brooklyn, NY, Patricia Gillard (Brian) of East Moriches, NY and William A. Gillard III (Sandra) of Naples, FL; his grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan (Stephanie), Ashley (Matt), Jeffrey (Lauren) and Anna (Nick); his brother Robert W. Gillard (Pam); and his pet Lily.
