He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Hummer and Harriett L. Hummer (Benschoff); and his siblings, Sharon Hummer, Sarah Kendle, Beverly Rice and Ronald E. Hummer.
He is survived by: his daughter Brittany Hummer of Waynesboro; his granddaughter Sophia; and his brothers, Robert L. Hummer Sr. (Sandra) of Greencastle and Larry E. Hummer (Josephine) of Chambersburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
