The memory of Shirley M. Weir of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lionel R. Moats, Sr. and Mary A. Moats (Monn); her husband Ronald Jack "Smokey" Weir; her daughter Kathy Bonner; her son-in-law David Biddinger; her granddaughter Kathy Bonner; her great grandchild Gregory Bonner; her uncle Frank; her aunt Bessie Brown; and her brother-in-law Gary McCoy.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Bonner (Wanda) of Goldsboro, NC, Dennis Bonner, Jr. (Kay) of Waynesboro, Steven Bonner (Jody) of South Mountain, PA, Michael Bonner, Sr. (Robin) of Waynesboro and Marsha Biddinger of Chambersburg; and her siblings, Lionel "Sam" Moats (Shirley) of Waynesboro and Jean Marie McCoy of Williamson, PA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home (50 S Broad St, Waynesboro, PA 17268). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
